HE SAID: The inner essence of Amelia Romeo shines through in these works on paper, revealing a serene, transparent, and joyful spirit. Moreover, the inspiration of this artist is guided by a free imagination that does not adhere to any prepackaged critical labels, as it would be quite complex to assign her works to historical movements. At most, in my opinion, one might notice a distant surrealist influence, sometimes blended with a pop aesthetic. This interplay manifests through a remarkable confidence in line work, and in the execution of a varied and atonal color scheme, where skillful abstract formulations assert themselves in harmonious counterpoints.
