Artistic Career

There have been numerous professional experiences in the field of painting. In this sector, Amelia Romeo (full name: Genoveffa Grazia Amelia Romeo), since 1989-90, has exhibited and continues to exhibit in many important galleries and venues, both individually and collectively, receiving various accolades. See, for example, the website www.gameliaromeo.it; the website Genoveffa Grazia Amelia Romeo – Poets and Poetry, where, in addition to poetry, some photos of paintings are present; the virtual exhibition in 3D by L. Lanzarotti; Project Art 2015 by A. Costanza; Amelia Romeo, the Documentary – A Television Production by St Art Up, Directed by Federico Caloi; and various art catalogs, such as l’Élite by Salvatore Perdicaro, etc.

In painting, Amelia Romeo consistently pursues her own style that deliberately does not conform to any current trends. For this reason, she eventually became the author of an artistic manifesto, titled:

"METAINTERALUX"

The manifesto, created on September 15, 2007, was registered with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Copyright Service, on March 27, 2008, under no. 048291.

Briefly, the manifesto aims to overturn the classical canons of light refraction and, consequently, the perspective that arises from it.

The subjects represented, of any type, live in a dimension of full light, which, invading them from all sides, dematerializes them without, however, depriving them of their foundational characteristics.

Extended Manifesto:

Artistic-pictorial genre: surrealmetaphysicalspiritual, or "Metainteralux".

The project entails the need to revisit (or overturn) the traditional pictorial vision canons, establishing different criteria that, starting from a surreal-metaphysical base, sublimates its contents, transporting them to a different dimension in a trans-lux vision, which can be defined as extra-space-time, thus spiritual. In short, it is light and its ability to create and disintegrate that determines the vision.
